Forget the manners you learned as a girl.

Gain the confidence, networking and negotiation skills needed today.

The Finishing School disrupts decades of behavior that have held women back. The school’s educational philosophy is inspired by the need to unlearn the manners we were taught as young girls, overcome insecurities and rewrite history for our granddaughters by closing the gender pay gap one raise at a time.

The Finishing School provides you with the scripts, strategies and confidence boosters you’ll need to level up at your current job or land a new job with a higher paycheck. We work with you step-by-step to help you negotiate your new offer or increase your total compensation in your current role. We provide simple frameworks and customized coaching to help you navigate the challenging salary negotiation process and earn the pay and benefits you deserve.

Since launching in 2014, The Finishing School has helped women negotiate over 1 million dollars in raises through group workshops and one-on-one coaching. On average, students receive a $10,000 raise when negotiating a new job with the help of The Finishing School.

  • Alison is a delight to work with—very patient and understanding, one part therapy, one part career guidance, one part expert negotiator. She was able to get me everything I was asking for and help calm my anxieties. Absolutely would work with her again.

  • I met Alison through a friend shortly after listening to a podcast where she guest starred as a negotiation expert. I was incredibly impressed by the way she changed my way of thinking in as little as 40 minutes!

It was thereafter that I consulted Alison to help me in my career at the time. Not exactly knowing what was in wait for me, I met and counseled with Alison in light of a particularly attractive opportunity. In our time together we discussed clutch materials that she meticulously recited with me to help me feel more confident and at ease during the interview. The exercises we did and the language we practiced instilled within me the confidence I needed to make this attractive opportunity into my dream job. It was the single most important investment I have ever made for my career.

Working with Alison honestly succeeded itself in value 10 fold by outcome, easy. I seriously could not have crafted the most ideal job and role, and then go on to receive it, without the knowledge and help that she gives. Super success!
